Fern V. Raley, 90, of Connellsville, formerly of Rockwood, passed on April 5, 2011 at the Harmon House in Mt. Pleasant.  Born December 20, 1920 in Rockwood, she is the daughter of the late Irvin and Mary (Bowers) Francis.  She is also preceded in death by her husband Claude in 1987; and sisters Doris Hechler and Mary Davis.  Fern is survived by her children Kenneth D. Yutzy and wife Nancy of Addison, Claudia Smith and husband James of Connellsville, Connie Berkey of Boswell, and Freeman Raley and wife Barb of Somerset; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters Wave Stoner and Sally Butler and husband Eugene, both of Connellsville; and brother Richard Francis of Boynton Beach, FL.  Fern was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Rockwood and later, a member of the Mt. Olive Church of North America in Bullskin Twp.  She enjoyed baking and cooking, reading her Bible, sitting on her porch, and spending time with her grandchildren.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at MILLER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, SOMERSET, where a service will be held at 11 am Monday, pastor Joseph McCarty officiating.  Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.

    Aunt Fern was a wonderful lady and she will be missed greatly…Claudia ,Freeman and Barb my heart goes out to you….we have another Raley Angel to look out for us….I bet they are up they singing knowing another as gone home:)
