HANDWERK

Cathy L. Handwerk, 67, of Stoystown, entered into Eternal Rest on September 10, 2017 from her home. Born September 4, 1950 in Somerset, she is a daughter of the late Howard and Elda (Bailey) Frampton. She is also preceded in death by her Angel Grandson, Jordan Urban and sister Brenda McClemens. Cathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Handwerk; daughters Teresa Handwerk of Stoystown and Georgia Urban and husband Shaun of Berlin; grandchildren Amanda Urban of Somerset, Cpl Benjamin Urban of Berlin, and Cassandra Urban of Berlin; sister Ruthann Pyle of Hedgesville, WV; brother Ronald Frampton and wife Mary Kay of Meyersdale; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend, mentor, and second mother Thelma Stern of Stoystown. Cathy was the world’s best seamstress, baker, and devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She also loved gardening and canning. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, Pastor Jim Oster officiating. Interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Accident, MD.
