DUNMYER

Clifford C. Dunmyer, 78, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2017 at Somerset Hospital. Born September 10, 1938 in Somerset, he is a son of the late Homer and Velma (Croyle) Dunmyer. He is also preceded in death by his brother Tim Dunmyer and great-granddaughter Morgyn Dunmyer. Clifford is survived by his wife Connie ((Houpt) Dunmyer, whom he married on July 14, 1957; children Jackie Mock and husband Pat of Ebensburg, Jodie Bowers and husband Mark of Somerset, Jeff Dunmyer and wife Tracey of Friedens, and Kevin Dunmyer of Somerset;

grandchildren Perry, Lisa (Matt), Amy (Phillip), Josh (Amy), Adam (Amanda), Kayla (Danny), and Chad (Jenna); 14 great-grandchildren; siblings Ray Dunmyer and wife Nettie, Larry Dunmyer, and Donna Rock, all of Friedens; many nieces and nephews; and their new, loved, puppy Harley. Clifford was the longtime owner and operator of Dunmyer Auto Sales and Salvage in Somerset. After retirement, he enjoyed building and selling wooden furniture for many people. He was an avid race car driver and fan of the sport for 25 years, and was inducted into the Jennerstown Hall of Fame in 2016. He was also a member of the Somerset Jeep Club and the Jenner Rod and Gun Club. He was a member of the Laurel Highlands Church of Christ, having participated in the construction and expansion of the church building over the past decade. He had a love of fishing, hunting, riding throughout Somerset County looking for wildlife, and watching his grandkids play sports. Friends will be received from 1-5 PM Sunday at the Laurel Highlands Church of Christ at 221 Dunmyer Road, Stoystown, where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, Pastor Bob Long officiating. Interment will be at Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Laurel Highlands Church of Christ Youth Camp at PO Box 22 Friedens, PA 15541.

    kip was one of the best he always made you smile I remember our trip to va to see my dad and how he had to stop at arby’s for his special coffee he will be missed by all
