Chester W. Colflesh, 73, of Ursina, died peacefully at home with family at his bedside on April 18, 2017. Son of the late George W. Colflesh and Marie (Cunningham) Colflesh. Preceded in death by infant brother Delmer Colflesh, sister Leora and her husband Earl Pyle, and sister Mary and her husband Walter Tressler. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn (Hyatt) Colflesh; daughters Lisa and her husband Alan Saylor and Brenda and her husband Paul Nicholas, his son Marshall Colflesh, special nephew Chad Hyatt and wife Jeannie and their daughters;

grandchildren Ashley and her husband Drew Glover (stationed in Africa), Alicia Saylor, Trisha Younkin, and Brendan Nicholas; and many nieces and nephews. Chester served in the Army in Vietnam during that war. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7250 of Confluence, and the American Legion in Ursina. He was a member of the United Community Church of God in Ursina. The family would like to send a special thank you to Bob Lytle, who was a lifetime friend, for making this last year special. Also a thank you to Amedisys Hospice nursing staff for their support and comfort. There will be a Memorial Service for Chester at the United Community Church of God at 405 Park St. Confluence, PA 15424 on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    Evelyn, So sorry to hear of Chester’s passing. I wish I had gotten to know him better especially since we were related. I had planned on visiting and now regret that I didn’t get there.
